TRACE WARNS AGAINST INCESSANT FALLING OF TANKERS

Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), has warned owners and drivers of articulated truck, especially Petrol tankers, to exercise caution and make the roads safer for other users.
The TRACE Corps Commander and Chief Executive Officer, ‘Seni Ogunyemi, gave the warning during an interview with journalists in Ota, revealing that, due to incessant falling of Petrol tankers on the high ways., no fewer than six tankers were involved in ghastly accident, which claimed so many lives in the last one week.
According to him, prompt arrival of TRACE, fire fighters, FRSC and Police officers at the Toll-Gate area in Ota, where a tanker fell, spilling fuel on the road, assisted in controlling the situation, saying, “as a traffic agency, we cannot continue to allow Petroleum tanker owners to endanger and kill innocent people”.
He enjoined drivers to desist from acts that could endanger the lives of other road users, just as he advised tanker owners to install safety valve on their vehicles to avoid mishaps on the roads, thanking other security agents for their support and cooperation.
