The joint security agencies in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, comprising Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO), So-Safe Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Police Force, Civil Defence and others, have been working assiduously in order to make the lockdown exercise a reality
The team leader, Area 4 Commander, TRACE, Mr. Adekunle Ajibade, said it was imperative to ensure compliance by residents of the area, for government to have desirable results.
The joint team during visitation to some markets in the area, ordered the traders to vacate the market, with a warning that any attempt to disobey government’s order would attract severe punishment.
The traders were enlightened on government decisions on the lockdown and the exempted days and period to open markets, adding that no trading except on free days set aside by the State government.
Ajibade while assuring that the joint team would not relent in its efforts towards enforcing government’s regulations at curtailing Covid -19 in the State, enjoined residents of the area to be law abiding and join hands with governments to totally eradicate the disease in the society.
