Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Emmanuel Oluwatoyin Taiwo FIIM has donated hand sanitizers and doles out the Ogun State Covid 19 relief materials to over 3000 households in Ipokia Local Government Area of the State.
Dr. Taiwo during the distribution, said the act was borne out of his intervention programmes to cushion the spread of coronavirus, supports government efforts and ensures the distribution of the relief package get to the poor and vulnerable.
The Commissioner noted that the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun will not rest on its oars to ameliorate the living standard of its citizenry during the lockdown period, as the welfare and wellbeing of its citizen is its priority.
He advised all and sundry to adhere strictly to the covid 19 safety rules of frequent hand washing, using of hand sanitizer, social distancing, staying indoor, avoiding handshake, and so on, saying these measures would reduce the spread of the virus.
One of the beneficiaries, Elder M.O Lalebi, from Agosasa appreciated the humanitarian gesture of the State Governor, noting that the package will relief the sufferings of the people during the stay at home period.
The distribution of the package which contain groundnut oil, seasoning , tomato puree, sugar, salt, 5kg of rice, beans and gaari, cut across Ipokia, Ijofin, Agosasa, Tube, Agada, Maun, Ilase, Ifoyintedo and others in Ipokia Local Government.
