The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has urged youths and residents of Sagamu to remain calm and maintain peace, following the passing away of a Remo Stars player, Tiamiyu Kazeem, popularly known as Kaka.

Oba Ajayi stated this at a closed door meeting with youths and protesters, who took to the streets, condemning the death of the player.

He eulogized the late player as a great man, with great potential for the development of the community, urging them not to take laws into their hands, as proper action was being taken.

Speaking on behalf of the protesters, Mrs. Fatima Oresanya and Mrs. Enitan Bakare expressed displeasure over activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the area, which they noted was becoming unbearable, urging the Paramount Ruler to communicate with concerned authorities to put an end to this menace.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Babatunde Ogunyanwo, who spoke with the Akarigbo through a conference call, confirmed that the perpetrator had since been arrested, appealing to the protesters to remain calm, as investigation was still on going
