The story of our time will soon be told, not by our failures but as a triumphant people of the nation. The life of Late Pastor Jesse Christopher Bako is an example of a life well spent though he was born born on the 15th of January, 1950 to the family of Late Chief Jesse of Semami in Rubochi, Kuje Area council. He began his early education in 1958 at Central Primary School Rubochi, after which he proceeded to Day secondary school Nasarawa in 1965.
Upon completion of secondary school, he was employed as a Support Staff at the erstwhile University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1972. He later joined the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State as a Porter in 1976. While working in Bida, he acquired a National Diploma (ND) and High National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration, after which he proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration.
Late Christopher retired from Civil Service as an Assistant Chief Executive (Administration) on January 15, 2011. During his time in Bida, he had joined the Deeper Christian Life Ministry in 1986. He becamed a Pastor in the church and served in that role until his death. With his modest earnings, he supported families in need, encouraged unemployed youth toward skill acquisition and sponsored their vocational training.
The most beautiful of all is that he was an ardent lover of God and Lord Jesus Christ. He never took the work of God for granted and he loved the Lord with all his heart and substance. He worked tirelessly to ensure that the word of God was well propagated until his last day on earth.
Late Pastor Christopher was a loving Dad, a devoted Christian, a graceful mentor, a selfless friend, an empathetic guardian.
Without no doubt he will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
