Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun, in Ogun Staten Tuesday, said  Governor Ibikunle Amosun will flag off his governorship campaign ahead of the 2019 elections.

He said this at a news conference during the official presentation of his manifesto held at his Iperu-Remo country home, that all issues surrounding the conduct of the party’s governorship primaries are internal issues that would be resolved amicably before the elections.

The governorship candidate flanked by his deputy, Engr(Mrs) Nimot Salako -Oyedele; the Director -General of the Dapo Abiodun Campaign Organisation, Prince Segun Adesegun; chieftain of the party, Hon. Bode Mustapha and other notable members of the party, said Amosun as the leader of the party would raise his hand at the campaign flag off

The governor of the state is the leader of the party in the state. We are flagging off our governorship campaign soon; he is the incumbent governor. I don’t have a doubt that our issues will be resolved; they are internal issues. I’m sure that the governor of Ogun State will be at our flag-off and I’m sure that he will be raising my hand up as the candidate of the party.

It’s not unusual for us to have internal wrangling in a primary election or election matter. But I’m convinced that there is a lot of time between now and elections and we have a mechanism within our party that we use to settle disputes. The election is less than 80 days away and I’m sure and confident that between now and that time, all the issues relating to our state executive will be resolved,” he assured.

We recalls that Amosun had vowed to work against Abiodun’s victory at the polls but promised to ensure the victory of his preferred candidate, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied People’s Movement APM.

Dapo assured that his administration would resuscitate the OKLNG gas project and deep sea port which according to him was put on hold for political reasons.
Abiodun also added that the internally generated revenue of the state would be geared up by 50 per cent within his first year in office.

He equally assured good governance and equitable distribution of infrastructure facilities.
