Doctors, Nurses or any health care provider should note that accident victims or gunshot wounded patients do not require police clearance to receive prompt treatment, however the health care provider should notify the local police within their jurisdiction of any of such patient in their hospital.

The Zonal Police Public Relation Officer Zone 2 Onikan Lagos CSP Dolapo Badmos further stress that accident victims do not require police clearance before reiciving treatment in hospitals across the nation.

Dolapo made this known on social medias that there were complaints that Doctors don't treat accident victims or gunshot wounded patients until they receive police clearance.

Adding that such act is wrong in all ramifications and n
o Nigeria Police officer must prevent prompt access to, or delivery of health care for accident victims or gunshot wounded patients.

All health care providers should treat without delay  any victim of accident or gunshot wound otherwise such health care provider can be held responsible for any loss of life in such circumstance(s).
